Through community-centered initiatives and partnerships, we aim to raise awareness about maternal healthcare access while supporting long-term empowerment for Aeta families and their livelihoods.
Adult Literacy Program with Liwanag at Dunong

Giting ng Duyan is working closely with Liwanag at Dunong, a registered NGO that partners with Aeta communities through a philosophy of solidarity rather than charity. The organization works alongside Indigenous peoples to address limited access to basic services while recognizing their cultural strengths and heritage.
Through their Adult Literacy Program, Giting ng Duyan hopes to learn from Liwanag at Dunong’s community-based approach and gather insights on how similar initiatives may be extended to their Aeta community in Palauig, Zambales. This collaboration helps strengthen community partnerships while supporting educational opportunities and empowerment for Indigenous communities.
Panel Discussion with GlobalWe

The documentary series will be featured in GlobalWe’s panel discussion, a platform that brings together advocates, researchers, and organizations to discuss global social issues. The conversation will focus on access to maternal healthcare in different parts of the world, highlighting the experiences of Indigenous mothers and geographically isolated communities.
Featuring the documentary series in this discussion helps amplify the voices of Aeta mothers, encourage dialogue among global advocates, and raise greater awareness of the challenges surrounding maternal healthcare access. The event is scheduled to take place later in the year.
